Yes! If you are:
At Eastern Michigan University Credit Union, once you're a member, you're always a member! Simply because your employment or educational status changes, your accounts at EMU Credit Union do not.

If you are eligible for membership and would like to open a share account, you will need to visit our office. Please bring valid photo identification issued by a government agency (i.e.: drivers license, state id, passport); proof of eligibility (i.e.: staff id, paystub, current class schedule); and a minimum of $6.00 ($5.00 minimum balance for share account & $1.00 one-time membership fee). Note, if you are an alumnus, we will verify your eligibility status via EMU. Please allow 5-10 minutes for this initial visit.
The above information applies to share accounts only. If you wish to open a draft (aka checking) account as well, please allow an extra 5-15 minutes for the opening of this additional account. If you open your personal draft (aka checking) account and leave $100.00 or more on deposit, you will receive a complimentary box of (50) checks. You are also welcome to open this type of account with no funds for deposit, however you will be responsible for the check printing costs associated with your first check order.
Please note: You are not required to order checks. Some individuals wish only ATM/debit card (featuring the MasterCard logo) access to this account.

HELP!
My EMU CU ATM/debit card was lost, or maybe even stolen!
What should I do?
1. First and foremost,
 call (800) 754-4128
(from within US)
or
call (414) 341-6535
(from international locations)
to report the card lost/stolen.
Done immediately, this will prevent any unauthorized usage of your card.
2. Contact us at (734) 487-1033 or click here to make us aware of the situation. You can request that we monitor your account for unusual activity or place a "password" on all transactions. You may elect to order a new card at this time (this may be sent to the CU office if you are concerned about the security of your postal mail).
3. Breathe easy... Your account is protected when you follow the above steps. We're thankful that you're okay!
